The Joint Commission

In an effort to be as transparent as possible, This Army Health Clinic (U.S. Army Medical Department Activity-Bavaria), in coordination with the Military Health System, is voluntarily making several quality and safety measures public. For U.S. civilian healthcare systems, participation is voluntary. Therefore you might not be able to find the same measures published by some state-side facilities.

Your Opinion Matters: The Joint Outpatient Experience Survey (JOES)

Patients at our clinic are now reporting their experiences and satisfaction with their healthcare in a new survey. This outpatient survey program, launched by the Army in 2016, is called the Joint Outpatient Experience Survey, or JOES. This survey is standardized across all services, and will enable the Department of Health Affairs to get an accurate picture of the state of military healthcare.

Approximately 72 hours after an appointment, patients will be sent a survey to complete which they can complete and return by mail or electronically. The survey takes five minutes to complete and gives healthcare providers and your Vilseck Health Clinic leadership the feedback necessary to improve quality of care, patient experience and satisfaction. We take all comments and ratings seriously, and the surveys are confidential
