Available Programs:
Please Note: Once you have completed a Metabolic or Fitness assessment, the Wellness Center will help you track your progress and improve your success by meeting with you every 30 days at follow up appointments.

Metabolic testing: Is available to assess daily caloric needs. The test measures what you burn and then calculates a calorie range specific for you. It is the key to knowing precisely what your body needs for effective weight management. Results are delivered in a classroom setting to teach you how to use your results and other information such as reading a nutrition label, and making healthier food choices.

Fitness/VO2 Assessments: Fitness testing and counseling are completed using state of the art equipment to assess flexibility, muscular strength, cardio-respiratory fitness levels, and body composition. In conjunction with fitness testing, you will receive a comprehensive report that shows current fitness levels and education and individualized exercise counseling on how to meet specific goals.

Healthy Nutrition: The more you know the more you can navigate through unhealthy food choices. The Army Wellness Center provides education in basic nutrition, reading labels, quick meals, weight management, and understanding your metabolism.

Energy (Stress) Management: The Wellness Center uses Biofeedback Software in one-on-one sessions to introduce you to strategies, resources and techniques for effective stress management. The Wellness Center has a state of the art massage chair available during hours of operation to all members of the community.

Unit Level Health Briefings and Assessments: Any member of the Wellness Center staff can provide unit level health briefings on a variety of health/preventative medicine topics to include self-care, nutrition, fitness, blood pressure, cholesterol, body image, relaxation and more. Units can also come into the Wellness Center for complete assessments.

Body Composition Assessments: Used to determine the percentages of fat, bone, water and muscle in the human body. The Wellness Center uses the state of the art BOD POD to measure body fat or ultrasound technology.

Wellness Coaching: Wellness Center Health Educators work closely with you to help set realistic actionable goals and specific targeted education and assessments to help you reach health and wellness goals and needs.
