Traffic Alert for LRMC Patients & Staff: A62 Exit
If you’re on A6 headed west toward Saarbruecken, the A62 exit for Pirmasens is closed, and is expected to remain closed until Sept. 16.

Here are two options to reach LRMC from A6 if you’re traveling in that direction:

- Take the Landstuhl Ost (exit 13) exit to downtown Landstuhl. From downtown Landstuhl on the main street (Kaiserstrasse), you can find LRMC by following the white signs for US. Hospital and other signs for Bann, Mittelbrunn and Burg Nanstein. The US Hospital signs will guide you toward signs for Gate 3 and Dr. Hitzelberger Strasse.

- Take the A62 exit toward Trier, then take the first exit (Huetschenhausen) and get back on the A62 in the other direction toward Pirmasens.

Patient liaisons are available to help patients in emergency and inpatient situations.

They can assist with verbal translations and will visit patients each day they’re in the hospital. Patient liaisons are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In emergency situations, it’s especially important to call so they can report to the clinic and potentially the chain of command that you’re being treated in a Host Nation hospital.

HNPLs during duty hours: DSN 430-7523/4381, CIV 0711-680-7523/4381.

During and after duty hours: Call the MP Office at CIV 0711-680-5261/5262. Same applies if an incident should occur on the installation.

Remember: A medical emergency is anything that threatens life, limb or eyesight. If you have a
medical emergency go immediately to your nearest emergency room or call an ambulance. Dial 112 for
ambulance services.
