Tri-Service Regional Business Office Supply Standardization

The Tri-Service Regional Business Office's Supply Standardization Program addresses several business needs for the Department of Defense's medical supply system.

  • Optimal medical item standardization should eliminate random or unnecessary variation, while allowing for variation that is required to meet clinical or operational requirements.
  • Services design assemblages to provide differing mission capabilities.
  • Standardizing item availability across institutional and operational supply chains has multiple dynamic components, including the leveraging of technology life cycles and funding cycles, assemblage build-to-order versus build-for-inventory policies; and, addressing the evolution of healthcare needs as a Joint operation unfolds.

The Regional Health Command Europe's G4/Logistics staff chairs the TSRBO.
