MILITARY PATIENT INQUIRIES

Incoming Patients: Upon notification of the requirement to medically evacuate service members to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, command elements or designees will notify LRMC-Patient Gateway staff telephonically via DSN or commercial at the below numbers. Information will include the service member’s full name, flight number, arrival time, point of debarkation (POD), special needs of patient, and unit command team’ s contact information.

(Deployed Warrior Medical Management Center (DWMMC) / Patient Gateway):
- DSN: 314-590-5890
- Commercial Outside of Germany: 011-49-6371-9464-5890
- Commercial Inside of Germany: 06371-9464-5890

(LRMC Admissions and Dispositions): Information Desk personnel will receive all relevant patient data and arrival times and physically deliver the information to DWMMC/ LRMC-Patient Gateway personnel and log the transaction in the staff duty hand-book.
- Commercial Outside of Germany - 011-49-6371-9464-5202
- Commercial Inside of Germany – 06371-9464-5202

RAF units will ensure all data is entered into TRAC2ES according to standard as per USAREUR medical evacuation flow-chart.

LRMC-Patient Gateway Staff: Upon notification by sending unit and receipt of all specified data, LRMC-Patient Gateway will verify receipt of TRAC2ES information and update designated LRMC staff according to internal SOP via email at usarmy.landstuhl.medcom-rhc-e.mbx.patient-gateway@mail.mil

LRMC-Patient Gateway staff will then create a manifest for the Medical Transient Detachment to secure the patient from the point of debarkation (POD).

Upon securing the patient and returning to LRMC, LRMC-Patient Gateway Staff will notify the service member’s command team of the patient’s arrival with the designated liaison officer’s (LNO) contact information and tentative lodging plan.

Units are highly encouraged to maintain routine contact with designated LNO for patient updates as this is the primary point of contact for the service member while at LRMC.

Unit leadership may also contact the LRMC-Patient Gateway leadership via email at usarmy.landstuhl.medcom-rhc-e.mbx.patient-gateway@mail.mil for matters outside or routine updates or travel inquiries.
