In an effort to be as transparent as possible, This Army Health Clinic (U.S. Army Medical Department Activity-Bavaria), in coordination with the Military Health System, is voluntarily making several quality and safety measures public. For U.S. civilian healthcare systems, participation is voluntary. Therefore you might not be able to find the same measures published by some state-side facilities.

Hours:
Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Routine appointments ONLY, No walk-ins available.

Closed weekends, Federal holidays and the third Thursday of each month from Noon to 4:30 p.m. for staff training.

Things to know before your Optometry Appointment:

  1. We see Active Duty, Dependents, Retirees & Spouses, and children ages 6 and above.

  2. If you wear glasses, bring them (even if they are broken).

  3. If you are being dilated, you must schedule an escort to drive you home after your appointment.

  4. If you wear contacts, please wear them to your appointment, and bring your contact lens case. Also, bring in any prior contact lens prescriptions and the boxes with all information into your exam. We only provide re-fits or rewrites. NO new CL fittings performed.

  6. **NOTE**: Until further notice, as of November 29, 2017 only those MOS’s which are Combat Arms related (Priority 1) or Combat Support (Priority 2) are eligible for pre-op testing for Corrective Refractive Surgery (e.g., PRK/LASIK).
  7. We only issue eyeglasses to military active duty, the processing time is currently 2-6 weeks.

  8. Retirees are only eligible for the standard issue military eyeware.
