The community around USAG Baumholder is experiencing a water contamination issue, but the water at USAG Baumholder is not affected. DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for three (3) minutes, and let it cool before using or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. The Host Nation Fire Department detected increased levels of E. coli in the off-post water system and are warning local residents to avoid drinking or bathing until further testing can be accomplished. Further testing is currently underway. Read more on the Baumholder Army Health Clinic Facebook page at www.facebook.com/USAGBaumholder.
