Mission:

Manage all logistical requirements (supplies, services, maintenance, and transportation) in support of the RHCE health care delivery mission and the requirements of other supported activities as authorized.

Services:

  • Conducts studies, evaluates and analyzes directives, and reports appropriate statistics with the objective of improving logistical programs and efficiency within the RHCE.  Advises the RHCE commander and activities on medical logistics policies and procedures.
  • Chairs the Supply Standardization Board.
  • Coordinates all supply and maintenance aspects of the RHCE support missions.  Manage efforts for medical materiel standardization within the RHCE.
  • Coordinates with the Resource Management Division on supply management and budget development.
  • Prepares the materiel, equipment, and facilities portion of all mobilization, contingency, and emergency plans in coordination with the Plans, Operations, and Training Division.
  • Develops and operates appropriate training programs.  Training programs will be developed upon request of an RHCE supported activity or determined need based upon evaluation of an RHCE activity's logistical operations by the ACS Logistics.
  • Provides support for the fielding and system upgrade of automated medical logistics systems.  Provide technical support, functional support, and initial/sustainment training to supported activities for automated medical logistics systems.
  • Provides logistical readiness input for the Joint Medical Requirements Report and the MEDCOM Unit Status Report, as required.
  • Develops and operates the Energy Conservation Program for the Command.
  • Develops the logistics portion of the command-operating budget.
  • Evaluates supply and maintenance practices employed at subordinate units.
  • Conducts staff assistance visits to subordinate units.
